FRIENDS

Photographs of some amazing people I´ve met here (Not all of them is on these pictures)....♥

I must say that this trip have gaved me so much more than english learning. I travelled here alone if you don´t count with some friends I´ve talked to on My EF before. But I was scared as hell when I arrived ´cause I really don´t like when people can´t be open to each other. Which gave me a strong faith to be social to everyone. If you give everyone one chance you can´t blame yourself if gangs start to come up.

Everyone here have been so sweet to me. I´m so thankful, because I think this made sense to many students here. Treat everyone like you want to be treated, karma´s only rude if you are. :) At least we can communicate through social networks after my departure. But it can´t change the fact that these people mean a lot to me and have meant during the whole travel with EF. In 14 days these people have taken a big place in my heart. They really mean a lot to me. <3

The leaders have also been wonderful and really showing that they care about us which have made all the activities funny. Even if you´re like me and don´t like muséums... hehe.

Any questions? Just ask. XOXO Sanna

Oxford - part 2 (Alice In Wonderland)

Yesterday I did choose to go by bus to Oxford. I was so excited during the morning because of my expectations of the church, where they recorded the Harry Potter films. For those who don´t know, I´m a huge fan of HP. Anyway, some hours of shopping in new shops and a guided tour through the university area, doesn´t sound bad either. The whole trip cost 18 pounds for me. As I already said I´ve gone to all the activities, which have caused a lot of nice moments to remember. I can´t believe how short time I´ve left here in Brighton. Only like 2 days.... XOXO Sanna

Apple store

Hello! Right now me, Anette, Signe & Sofia are chilling at Apple Store. Since this is our last day in Brighton, we got the opportunity to choose between 3 activities. Beachvolleyboll, laser zone and shopping. We did choose shopping, tehe. The weather is awesome, so we'll keep going! XOXO Sanna

"A typical day in Brighton with EF"

I got some swaaaaag, man

First I get up at 7 a.m. The next thing is to get ready for the day. Take a shower, brush my teeth, get some makeup and put my clothes on. Voilá, I´m ready! I meet my friends and we take a walk together to the foodhall. Then we eat breakfast, before we rush up to school at 9 a.m. In school we first have a nice discussion about Social networks. Both in class and in groups, so everyone understand the subject. After that, we´ll be doing some uppgifter invidiually before we go on a 20 minutes break. The next lesson will be dedicated to iPads. We just got our project ready so now we´re just finishing it up. Of course we only talk english in our group, even though there are a lot of people with similar languages. Since we´ve been such nice students our teacher will play some games with us. We play the whisper game. It is a game where you´re supposed to whisper a world through the whole group, and then the last person will have to write it on the board. Then it´s a typical english lunch. When the lunch is eaten I have some free time. The free time is only about 1 hour so I´ll run up to my house to leave my books and get my bus pass. I spend the afternoon doing activities with my group Nadal. When I arrive home I´m tired. But hey, it´s disco and that´s one thing you can´t miss. So I get thrilled with my friends and then I´ll dance ´til the end.

I just mixed some days up to a normal day in Brighton. Hope you guys liked it. XOXO Sanna

1 day left

The time had gone so fast. It feels so wierd that I´m going to be on my way to Sweden tomorrow. But at least it´s better to have 2 weeks here filled with joy, than having loads of chill days. According to me we´ve been having a lot of fun. If I know myself right, I´m going to cry like a baby tomorrow... Tehe!!

Last time in class

We just had our last class-session. I´m a little bit sad actually because all my classmates have been awesome during this trip. Love them all! One of the staff took some pictures of the whole group, that I´ll upload later. XOXO Sanna

OXFORD - part 1 (Harry Potter)

Because of the huge amount of pictures, I decided to divide the Oxford pictures into two posts. First I´m going to start with the Harry Potter-pictures. We went to the famous church, where they recorded some parts of the HP-movies. Oh, I was so excited to take a photograph, in what I believed was a huge foodhall. Guess what? It is so much smaller in reality. Tehe, but I still feel kind of cool to have visited this place. After a walk around the building, me and my friends Max, Oscar & Sara went to Alice in wonderland. It was a small area near the chuch which was full with crazy A.I.W-actors. We got amazed by their imagination. My motto "A actor must have a part of the roll their playing, inside them", really wasn´t correct in this case. It was crazy how they played their rolls. Eventually we went back to the bus and travelled back to Brighton. Nice day! XOXO Sanna

Graduation

We just graduated from our school! Woho, and we also got one EF backpack and EFCELT result. XOXO Sanna

Shopping in Brighton

Sofia & my starbucks Frappuchinos (Yes, my name is misspelled...)
Sofia, me & Henrik outside Marks & Spencer

I guess many of you wonder what the shopping in Brighton is like. That´s why I´ll share one post about it all. I think I bought something everyday in Brighton which may been a little bit expensive if it were in Sweden. But in England they have crazy labels. You should just have seen my face expression at the sale in The Body Shop. First of all, it´s 5 pounds cheaper than in Sweden and then you´ll have to add 50 % SALE. It was amazing. These are the shops worth visiting in Brighton/London:

M&M World (London): Me and my friend Henrik loved the M&M shop. It was literally M&M stuff everywhere. I bought a pair of earphones for like 10 pounds and the sound is better than any other of my earphones. It was also these kinds of candy machines, where you could choose which M&M colour, that you would like on the bonbons.

Churchill Square Shopping center (Brighton): Totally worth visiting. It had so many nice shops. For instance Hollister, Debenhams, Urban Outfitters, Aldo, H&M, Jane Norman, Accessoarize, My Pink Ink etc. I loved Hollister and Urban Outfitters the most, even though I have those stores at home haha!!

Primark: This is not a shop for claustrofobic people. I just warn you, I love shopping but when I entered Primark I stood still in like 10 minutes. It was so many clothes and people everywhere that I didn´t know where to go. But you can´t complain about the pricetags here either. 24 pounds for 2 sweaters, 1 dress and 2 pair of shorts.

The area round Brighton Pier: If you´re looking for nice souveniers and typical english food dishes, this is the place. At the pier they also have an small amusement park and a huge gamecenter. It´s also a nice place to go swimming at, if you´re lucky with the weather. :)

KFC: Haha! It´s a obligatoric place to visit if you like fat food. They have all kinds of fried chicken with chips. In England you must be prepared to see chips everywhere, they even eat it to lasagna haha!!

SCHOOL

My school in Brighton have been extremely different from the one I´m used to at home. For instance, we don´t only work in our books. We also got the opportunity to work with iPads during lesson. It was much more organized lessons with the iPads than I´ve expected. We made movies with iMovie, worked with the e-book and wrote presentations. Since I don't like lessons that doesn´t include anything creative, this was the perfect way to learn english. Our lessons was set either on a.m. or p.m. You swap during the week. For example: If I have school in the morning at Monday, I´ll start in the afternoon on tuesday. The time you doesn´t have lessons, you will have activities. My school ended yesterday which means that I also did the EFCELT (EF Cambridge Education Learning Test) test (prov). I think it went well, at least I did my best.

I´m both excited and a little bit sad for the coming monday. This day I´m going to have my graduation which means I´ll get one fun student hat. Me and my friends will also hold a presentation and show our movie for the rest of the students. The movie is a project we´ve been working on and it will compete against other pupils in England (EF of course).

If you have ANY questions about the school or my time with EF, don´t be afraid to ask in the commentfield. XOXO Sanna
